Gabby (female lion)

Gabby came to the EFRC from Hennepin, Illinois, after the man who owned her was found dead in a cage with two tigers. Reluctantly, the police had to shoot the two tigers to retrieve his body. The EFRC agreed to accept Gabby along with another tiger, Tony II. Gabby is very playful, especially for a lioness. The staff sometimes wonders if she thinks she is a tiger. She loves to play with her toys and sometimes even her food. Gabby often entertains everyone with her game of “patty cake” where she lies on her back and smacks her paws together.
