The EFRC took in 5 tigers - Layla, Jasmine, Belle Fille, Rocky, Winston when Stapp’s Circle S Ranch in southern Indiana closed. The ranch was known as Pet-a-Tiger! When the ranch was open, they conducted tiger cubs programs where people could interact with the cubs for a fee. Interesting that the EFRC took in 5 young adult tigers (tigers that got too expensive to feed and too old to allow the public to touch – they were no longer money-makers). Very typical of educational petting zoos with tiger cubs. Tiger cubs are cute and might provide a source of income until they are about 3 months old … then they become dangerous and too costly for most individual to keep. That’s why the EFRC continues to exist.
Thank you for your continued support!
