Field Trips
Fieldtrips are designed to expose adults and children to the plight of endangered cats in captivity and the wild. You will get to see eight species of cats: lions, tigers (including a white tiger), cougars, black leopards, bobcats, and servals in their large natural habitats. You will learn all about these beautiful cats including their veterinary care, diets, likes, dislikes, and instinctive behavior.
Wear comfortable shoes. The tour will take you over about 20 acres of land devoted to the care of these beautiful cats. Tour time varies between 50 minutes and 1 ½ hours depending upon the group and number of questions. Groups must be scheduled and special rates are available. Call 812-835-1130 for more information and ask for Jean.

| Internships
EFRC offers structured unpaid internships for students. This program is individualized for each student. It gives interns an opportunity to learn first hand the many aspects of exotic animal care. Summer internships require at least 6 weeks.

Credit Internship
We are associated with the Center for the Integrative Study of Animal Behavior at Indiana University and work with other schools. Schedules and duties are designed for the individual student to fulfill the requirements of the school while gaining experience working with big cats.
Non-Credit Internship
We find many students wanting to further their education in animal care or secure a job in animal care after graduation find internships very valuable. The EFRC offers you a chance to help care for our eight different species of big cats. You will be involved in their daily care and have the opportunity to observe veterinary procedures that might occur during your internship.
