Happy Labor Day EFRC Friends!
INTRODUCING ROAR APPEAL
The Exotic Feline Rescue Center is beginning a new donation program-ROAR APPEAL. Through ROAR APPEAL we will be requesting donations towards a specific EFRC WISH LIST item. The EFRC operating expenses are covered primarily by the gate receipts. Because of this it is difficult for the center to purchase additional items needed to optimize all aspects of the day-to-day running of the rescue center. Those items include straw, cedar chips, water tanks and vehicles to transport visitors and cargo throughout the center.
As a PRIDE of EFRC supporters, we will come together to purchase these items and improve our exotic felines’ forever home.
To keep our supporters informed, we have added a ROAR APPEAL page to the EFRC website that will provide a donation button, a picture of the WISH LIST item and an ongoing record of donations received. http://www.exoticfelinerescuecenter.org/roar_appeal.html
ROAR APPEAL 2012
We hope you will support our initial goal of purchasing a new four-seater golf cart. Our mission of educating the public about exotic felines will only be successful if we can educate all our guests. Everyone deserves the opportunity to experience the Exotic Feline Rescue Center but because of the gravel pathways it can be difficult for our guests who have mobility difficulties. The four-seater golf cart will allow all visitors the chance to experience the roar of a lion, the chuff of a tiger and the purr of a puma.
Professional Golf Car Cooperation in Bloomington, Indiana has generously offered a golf cart at the reduced rate of $5000.00. The golf cart is gas powered with a roof, windshield and pull down back seat. Transporting visitors on the hour-long tour will be its main purpose. With the back seat in the upright position we will also be able to transport light cargo throughout the center.
Please help ensure that all visitors to the EFRC will experience the true magic of our amazing BIG CATS. Let’s work together to become the best PRIDE we can be for a four-seater golf cart.
Join us on September 15, 2012 at 5:00 pm for an evening of family fun. The evening will include an extended tour giving visitors the opportunity to see cats that are not on the typical tour. FALL FEST will conclude with a bonfire and a hotdog and marshmallow roast.
