The event will take place at the Sycamore Farm at 1720 West That Road, Bloomington, Indiana. Festivities will begin at 3:00 pm and continue to 6:00 pm. RUN THROUGH THE JUNGLE
We would like to thank our over 500 5K runners and walkers for their support of the Exotic Feline Rescue Center. It was a wonderful day for runners, staff and volunteers. The EFRC has the most amazing supporters and the runners were a wonderful example of this. Many runners stayed for a tour after the race and were not disappointed.
OUR AMAZING SUPPORTERS
We would like to thank Tory and Zoe, students at Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School in Indianapolis. As part of their AP Environmental Science Class outreach program, they raised $100.00 for the rescue center. We so greatly appreciate students and children that choose to support our center. Every donation is appreciated no matter the amount. So to Tory and Zoe, we send a BIG THANK YOU.
Please join us on June 15 at 5:30 pm for our first Evening Roar of the season. Visitors will have the opportunity to learn about our felines during an extended tour. We will have delicious hors d’oeuvres, desserts, wine and beer. Guests must be 21 years old to attend this amazing event. Please click on the link for more information.
This month we introduce you to Lilly, female puma, located near the end of the tour. Lilly currently resides with Tinker, male puma. Lilly came to the rescue center in 1997 after she was found prowling around southern Indiana. She was nine months old at the time. Lilly is sweet, outgoing and people-friendly. Because Lilly enjoys lounging on her elevated ledges, you will have to look up to see her. Lilly is a beautiful puma that loves to have her picture taken so do not let her down and snap a few pictures as you pass by.
CAMP ROAR 2013
Registration is now open for Camp Roar 2013. Have your 8-11 year-old child be one of the first to experience CAMP ROAR at the Exotic Feline Rescue Center (EFRC). Campers will enjoy learning about our lions, tigers, leopards, pumas, servals and bobcats while taking part in educational activities that will include BIG CAT and endangered species facts, rescue stories of our resident felines, and the day-to-day running of the rescue center. Camp dates are July 10, July 17 and July 24. Click on the link below for more information.
