JULY 2014 ENEWS FOR THE EXOTIC FELINE RESCUE CENTER

NEW YORK RES CUE
On May 26, EFRC participated in a rescue at the JNK-Call of the Wild Sanctuary in New York. Five tigers now call the EFRC their new forever home. Although we rescued six tigers, a male tiger passed away the day after they arrived. Unfortunately, the rescued tigers are not on the public tour but they are thriving in their new environment, enjoying their new enclosures and their new caretakers at the EFRC. We welcome APOLLO, SEBASTIAN, SHANTEL, MAGIC AND MYSTIC to their new home! Click the link for more information.

MOVING THE CUBS
We are excited to announce that our five tiger cubs have a new home. Because our girls were growing so big so fast, they needed a bigger enclosure. Unfortunately, the girls’ new enclosure is not on the public tour. Our goal is always to place our cats in the best enclosure that will give them room to run and play, appropriate enrichment activities and the opportunity to stay together as a group. Currently there are no enclosures located on the public tour area that would be best for our cubs. We are so glad everyone had time to enjoy them in person and on the web cam. Know that they are being taken care of and each are having the time of their life in their new spacious enclosure.

Reservations are not required but are appreciated. The cost is $10 for children 12 and under and $20 for adults. We hope to see you at Summer Safari.

They identify and provide financial support to the best tiger sanctuaries in this country. Their motto is “No tiger shall die in this country because he or she cannot afford to see a doctor or get a ride home.” Tigers in America has recognized EFRC as one of the leading tiger sanctuaries in the United States.
